Oh Sale...

I don't know what it is but every season it's the same thing: I order myself to NOT go into the shops when the sale has just started (for various reasons but the main one is always because I need to SAVE instead of SPEND.. yeah say that again to a shopaholic) and every time I fail.

I was in search for a certain grey dress with stripes from Monki but I haven't found it yet - I hope I have better luck next week when I'll be in Amsterdam for a day. However, this white blousy beauty did go home with me. I love the high neck and the lack of buttons, I feel like it is finally something different than those 1000+ white blouses I have laying around in my closet... (or am I just justifying this purchase ?!)

At the least, it was more than 20 euros down in price. See, I CAN save up. Sort of.

Messy Hair And Dirty Shoes

LAUNDRY INDUSTRY (vintage) jacket, MONKI jumper, BERSHKA jeans, H&M shoes,

The full outfit of what I wore Wednesday, as promised! It was a little too warm to wear this actually but Dutch weather is sooo unpredictable that I'm just always at a loss of what to get out of my closet in the morning. It worked anyways, I really like this combo. What do you think? :)

Other than that I don't have much else to say! Busy all day today and tomorrow, but that's alright - it's fun doing stuff that isn't related to school and deadlines, so no complaints ;)

Have a great weekend! x

Oh Hi, New Hair

Remember that tale about that one blogger who was offline for too many days? Yeah, I know. I had my last exam on Monday and I've just been away all day err day since then. And to be honest: I was lacking any kind of energy to do anything, really. I'm always completely deflated after a period of exams and deadlines but... there's time to recharge right now because I officially have summer holiday! Yay !

I went shooting outfit pictures yesterday with the lovely Sara (check out her blog if you don't know her already!) and it was so much fun! Today I'm showing you some better pictures of my blonde hair :) What do you think ?

I hope to fully get back in the blogging game now I have some more time on my hands. I have quite some stuff planned in the upcoming month which will be fun to feature on the blog as well so hopefully I can take you guys with me on my trips while I'm still in Holland. Less than two months and I'll be hopping on a plane, craaaazy!! Can't wait though !

Have a great day! Be sure to check back tomorrow for the full outfit :) x

Hat Me Up - Continued

Since I wrote this post about large, black fedora hats, I really feel like I need one. And even though I kinda put myself to a halt shopping-wise (I really need to save some money for New York), I can't get the fedora out of my head (wordplay, anyone? I know, lame). So here's the edit: where to find the best & (in most cases) affordable black hats!

Which one is your favourite? I think I like the one from Monki best !

Feeling Edgy

Secretly this one cannot really function as a dress - more like a long tunic or else I'd be standing in my undies in no time. However, it DOES serve for good inspiration to wear dresses more often (or, if you're like me, to start with it).
For this outfit inspiration I decided to go for an edgy look - who said a dress has to be girly ?!
Flaunting some bare leg and wearing a red lippie - feminine but tough. Because what's fun about being sweet all the time, right! ;)

Let me know what you think & have a great weekend! x

The Dye Happened - I'M A BLONDIE

Gracing you guys today with a shameless selfie... of my new hayuuurrr ! The ombre didn't really happen, sadly - my hairdresser did her best to combine highlights with the beloved dark-to-light effect, but you don't really see the latter. Ah well. I'M BLONDE ANYWAYS, and I love it :) Better pictures soooon ! What are your thoughts on it so far?

Sorry for being a lil' MIA by the way, deadlines got the better of me and I just didn't have any inspiration for the blog. In the end it's still a lovely hobby, which sometimes will not get all of my attention.... I do have a lot of exciting stuff coming up in July though (some even blog-related! ), so don't leave me just yet ;)

Have a great day ! x

P.S. This is blogpost number 100 ! Yay !

Brain Out, Topknot On

ZARA leather jacket & t-shirt, BERSHKA jeans, BOOHOO loafers, MARC BY MARC JACOBS watch

If I ever get through these final weeks of school, then I seriously don't know how haha. My brain is not working with me at the moment.. and that right before my finals! Thank you brain, thanks a lot...

So because I can't really think - I'm even struggling writing this blogpost, it's serious, I know - I wanted to wear something comfortable. And I know I've said it before but I'll say it again: these pants are heaven ! They are like pyjama-jeans. And yes, that's just as comfortable as it sounds ;)

I'm going to return to my womancave (a.k.a. room) now and lock myself up until I've got something on paper for my deadlines tomorrow. Oh and let me know what you think of this outfit !  x

Summer Suits

Inspiration : Pinterest

Who said that suits were just for the office? Hell nahw buddy! It's summer time & time to suit up ;)
A little classier than the jump- and playsuit (which are all-time favourites of mine), the printed two-piece will get you through summer looking ├╝ber-hip. I love how versatile it is : wear it together when it's a little cooler or just the shorts/pants with a flowy white shirt when the sun is out. Add some sneakers for a little edge and you're good to go!

Do you love this trend as much as I do? x

So Long! (With Shorts)

12june2MONKI top, VINTAGE shorts & belt, H&M shoes, MARC BY MARC JACOBS watch

Finally, a proper summer in the city ! And the time to enjoy it! Had such a lovely afternoon in Utrecht yesterday, and of course I had to shoot some outfit pictures ;) My good camera broke down so I'm figuring out how to work with this one (which is a little older). As you can see the autofocus didn't really work with me at some times, but I actually quite like the effect. Oh, I'm so artsy ;)

It was so warm outside that I decided to go to class wearing my shorts. It wasn't 'just' a day of classes though, it was my last day here for many many many months (so long, uni!)! I have some exams the upcoming two weeks but that's it really! Sucks though, because I'm planning and doing so much stuff for my trip this coming August, I'm already in a holiday mood while I actually need to be writing essays... Aaaah, if somebody finds any focus, please tell me where it's hiding !

What do you think of my outfit? And do you have a lot of class to go still or are you joining in on the summer mood?
Have a great day ! x

Pretty Things

Time for some inspiration today :)
I had such a great, long weekend in which I even got to squeeze in some schoolwork, yay! It's my last day of classes today and then it's just a week and a half of writing essays and studying. Crazy if you think about it! I'm not only superbusy with that, but also with all the preparations for my stay in Canada. Can't wait until the time I get my ass on a plane ! ;)

Have a great day ! x

P.S. If you want to keep up with all of my inspiration - follow me on Tumblr!

Go With The Flow

FOREVER 21 blouse, BERSHKA pants, BOOHOO loafers, MARC BY MARC JACOBS watch, RAY-BAN sunglasses

What a gorgeous weekend it was! It was so hot, and while I didn't do anything special, I still had the time to sit in the garden and soak up some heat. I have two weeks to go of intense final-essay-writing, so it was nice to take a weekend off to unwind a little bit, before all the major stress is going to happen haha.

I am sooooo happy I bought these pants. They weren't very cheap but the quality is amazing - the fabric is so cool and flowy, perfect for these hot summer days. They are definitely going to New York with me!
I really like the combo of these pants with the white blouse and loafers, I feel so classy wearing this hihi.

Let me know what you think of my outfit! & have a great day :) xx

The Chop Happened

Here it is, my new haircut ! Woohoo, it's exactly what I asked for - a long bob with the option of wearing it down without my hair falling in front of my face the entire time. It still takes some time to get used to to be honest, I'm just still very used to my bun! Don't fret though - I can still wear it like that (although after I went to the hairdresser, my best friend immediately ordered me to take out the hair-tie when I put it up haha) ! ;)

Next Wednesday it's going to get dyed, the plan is to go for a blond ombre. I can't wait! And as always, I'll keep you updated ;)

Let me know what you think ! x

Going To The Gym (Or Just Looking Like It)

Alright, I admit: I'm not the work-out wonder I wish I was. I don't know what it is. I genuinely like running and pilates - and just the feeling that your body has to put in some effort to reach a next goal. It makes you feel awake and refreshed if you get what I mean. But I just don't seem to be able to stick to a certain schedule. I either get too busy or don't feel fit enough to go to the gym and then as soon as I know it, another week has goon by without exercise... I know, I know: "tomorrow/next week/after exams I'll definitely go to the gym".... #nope.

In a strange way it actually does NOT help me that recent trends have been inspired by sportswear. I really like sporty crop tops combined with jersey fabrics - it's like coming walking right out of the gym - without the effort (and with my make-up in tact and my hair all tamed instead of being a frizz ball). I couldn't imagine myself wearing such a fashionable outfit to the gym anyways - my god, I think all the pumped-up-Geordie-Shore-look-a-likes would have heart-attack - and no, not because I'd look superhot but because I'd look incredibly ridiculous and they would have to snort so hard their fake tan would get all up in their nose.

Alright - there's no real point in this blogpost really. Or maybe there is: let's get my ass back to the gym (oversized t-shirt and frizzy hair included) so I can wear that cute sportswear outside the gym. Start a sort-of "Save a Geordie, Wear A Sexless Outfit" collective. I'll definitely get to that next week.

It's Going To Be A Silky Summer

After a couple of rainy days (with a likewise, dreary physical health to be honest - I was a little ill) it is going to be crazy hot today; or for Dutch standards anyways. It's always difficult for me to figure out what to wear on such occasions - especially if I don't necessarily want to wear my bikini all day.

I think this white blouse (Forever 21) is perfect for that and I love the combo of the silky linen top, denim cut-offs (vintage Levi's) and my brown bag. This is actual Topshop vintage haha, I've had this bag for years and I still love it! The loafers (Boohoo) are actually not a really good idea when it's hot, they get soooo uncomfortable then haha. But I really like them with this look so let's just go with it haha :)

I hope you get a chance to enjoy the nice weather too! Have a great weekend lovelies ! x

Summer's Here

With this unpredictable Dutch weather I sometimes find myself wearing a sweater when it's all of sudden 20+ degrees Celsius. Let's say the sun surprises me a little bit every now and then :) However, I find it lovely to feel the warmth on my skin and to be able to throw on clothes with lighter fabric and colours. I especially love the combination of white with some denim - hence the outfit I picked out for you guys today!
The shoes are sooo awesome; they have a little platform sole, you should totally check them out :) The round sunglasses add just the edge I was looking for - not too feminine, not too tough, and a little hipster. Just how I like it !

What do you like the most to wear on those in-between-seasons-days? Have a great day! x

The Days Are Gone

2june1FOREVER 21 top, BERSHKA jeans, NEW LOOK boots, MARC BY MARC JACOBS watch

Hi guys ! I couldn't wait to wear my new items so I tackled one of my friends to shoot this look with me :) I'm so lucky to have friends who enjoy helping me out, big thanks to them!
So... what do you think about the jeans ? They are so comfortable and I think they fit really nicely. I'm just so happy with them :) I wore my Mac lipstick too (colour = All Fired Up) to give it some edge!

Also, this will probably be the last time you'll see my hair like this, since I'm going to the hairdresser today! I'm actually quite nervous haha, if it gets ruined there's no way of hiding myself since I have the blog and all... :p ah well I'm sure it'll turn out just fine. I'm only going to get a chop today because the hairdresser doesn't have time to dye it as well. I'm going to fix that soon though! Check my Instagram or Twitter for updates on the hairies :)

I think it's crazy that it's already June by the way. Only three weeks to go and I have summer holiday and then it'll be eight months until I return to my uni here in Utrecht.... Whaaaat ?!
On top of that, my sister is coming home this weekend too from a 9-month trip around the world. It feels like only yesterday that we waved her goodbye at the airport, time flies by so fast ! Sometimes I feel like it all goes a little too quickly, but sadly we don't have any control over that. And I'm also really excited to see what the future has in store for me. With New York, Canada and living on my own in Utrecht to look forward to, I think it'll be an enjoyable ride ;)

Have a great day! And let me know what you think about my outfit! x

In With The New

FOREVER 21 blouse

BERSHKA palazzo pants

FOREVER 21 top

I went shopping in Amsterdam on Sunday and it was FUN ! I finally found another pair of mom jeans (outfitpost with them tomorrow!) and palazzo pants, both at Bershka! Plus two cute tops from Forever 21 !

The River Island top I talked about
was sold out but I'm keeping an eye on the webshop ... :)
I also bought a bright red jumpsuit from Forever 21 (I KNOW RIGHT, colour ?! Whaaat ?!) which is too awesome for words. It doesn't photograph nicely on the hanger though so keep your eyes peeled for an outfit shot soon :)

What do you think about my new items ?
Have a great day ! x
